Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected senior or recently graduated students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7.
Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15, 2026; however, it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative AI Applications Intern to join our team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. As an intern, you will contribute to the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems.
The intern will join the eCom Fulfillment Operations Department, where they will collaborate closely with the eCom AI Crew to integrate AI into various workstreams. The department is dedicated to optimizing fulfillment processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving significant business impact through innovative AI solutions.
Projects/Assignments:
Benchmarking Competitors:
Conduct research and analyze competitors' AI-driven fulfillment operations to identify best practices and innovative approaches.Fulfillment Operations Understanding:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the team's fulfillment processes and identify potential areas where AI can be integrated to improve efficiency and effectiveness.AI Use Case Identification:
Develop a prioritized list of AI use cases, focusing on those with the highest potential ROI and KPI impact.Support for Existing Projects:
Assist the AI crew in ongoing projects by contributing to data collection, documentation, and research efforts.Skills and Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or R.Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn).Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of AI concepts such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or predictive analytics is a plus.Qualifications:

AI/ML Concepts and Applications:A high-level understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and their practical applications.Ability to apply AI/ML principles to solve real-world problems within the eCom fulfillment domain.Research and Analytical Skills:Strong research capabilities to gather, analyze, and interpret data effectively.Proficiency in conducting in-depth analysis to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.eCommerce and Supply Chain Operations:High-level familiarity with eCommerce operations, including understanding of the end-to-end supply chain processes.Knowledge of key metrics, challenges, and trends in eCom fulfillment and supply chain management.Communication and Documentation:Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Ability to document findings, processes, and recommendations clearly and concisely.Proficiency in Excel:Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.Experience in creating complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and charts to support data-driven decision-making.AI Prompting Experience:Hands-on experience with AI prompting techniques to generate relevant and accurate responses from AI models.Familiarity with optimizing prompts for specific tasks and improving the quality of AI-generated outputs.Supervised and Unsupervised Learning:Develop predictive models for classification (e.g., spam detection) and regression (e.g., inventory forecasting and capacity planning).Evaluate model performance using metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and score.The hourly rate for this role is $36. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
