Rain Bird is looking for a driven Agriculture Sales Specialist to help grow our presence across Central and South America. This field-based role focuses on building strong relationships with distributors, growers, designers, and corporate farming customers while accelerating sales growth in high-opportunity agricultural markets.

 

You’ll work closely with regional leadership to expand Rain Bird’s agricultural footprint, support new product introductions, and execute hands-on sales strategies that deliver results. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, thrives in developing markets, and is motivated to build long-term customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will thrive in a developing, high-opportunity region and will translate strategy into action by building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, designers, growers, and corporate accounts.  This role will work closely with the International Business Manager and will be instrumental in executing portfolio expansion and business broadening initiatives.

 

Achieve exceptional sales results and market share growth across assigned territories by supporting existing customers and quickly developing new accounts.Expand Rain Bird’s influence with customers and key influencers through consistent field engagement and highly visible and impactful call coverage cycles.Develop and execute territory and account growth plans aligned with Agriculture business unit objectives and regional strategy.Differentiate Rain Bird from competitors through superior customer support, responsiveness, and disciplined opportunity follow-up to build a loyal Rain Bird Agricultural customer network.Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Management, and regional teams to provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support key initiatives.Organize, lead, and support customer events, field demonstrations, trade shows, and in-person and web training to ensure a high-level customer experience.Assist customers with technical recommendations and after-sales support needs in partnership with internal teams. Develop and maintain an agricultural project pipeline and database to track opportunities, support forecasting accuracy, and shorten delivery lead times.Quickly accelerate sales of recently released and acquired products to broaden and diversify our business across crop types and irrigation methods. Design and experiment with innovative sales programs and promotions to stimulate new sales.

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)3+ years of sales experience, preferably in agriculture, irrigation, or a related technical fieldProven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and consistently execute in a results-driven environmentMust reside in the assigned territory and be willing and able to travel 50% of the timeStrong leadership and interpersonal influencing skills with the ability to inspire and motivate othersHigh integrity, strong communication skills, and general business capabilities with digital applications

 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Agricultural irrigation design and farming experienceBilingual in English; MBA or graduate degree preferred
