As a Screening Associate in the Screening Team, you will leverage credit training, data analysis, loan structuring, and client management for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily loans to pre-screen the creditworthiness of clients, properties, and markets and assist Bankers with getting new loans under application.
Job Responsibilities
Utilize preliminary underwriting skills and knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines and pricing, to independently size loans and author concise, thoughtful analysis of transactions using appropriate structure while identifying key risks at the pre-application stageWork proactively with Banking team to ensure timely quotes and terms are delivered to the client Work with internal and external cohorts to ensure efficient and quick progression of deal intake through application Analyze due diligence documents and develop comprehensive understanding of collateral, cash flow, sponsor, and market risks for quote submissions prior to loan applicationWork through conventional transactions including portfolios, lease up, MHC, and standard market rate properties Contribute to platform infrastructure and processes through special projectsRequired qualifications, skills and capabilities
BS or advanced degree with business focusMinimum of two plus years experience in commercial real estate which might include pre-application screening experience and GSE quote submissions CRE Multifamily knowledgeStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAdvance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems and applicationsExperience in using CLOSER (Commercial Loan Origination Securitization Enterprise Reporting) system
