Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hours/day, 7:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
The hours may vary during different times of the crop season. Overtime and taking holiday are mandatory.

Job Duties: Load and unload crops and containers of materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals and load solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Apply fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi, weeds, and crop diseases using hand sprayers or appropriate equipment. Observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions, and adjust controls to set, activate, and regulate equipment mechanisms.
Operate or tend agricultural production equipment including tractors, self-propelled combines, irrigation systems, and towed machinery such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, spray, and harvest crops. Till soil and plant and cultivate grain. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools. Tow harvesting equipment as required.
Drive trucks to transport crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Perform fueling operations by connecting and disconnecting fuel hoses to and from aircraft. Read and understand load tickets. Load aircraft with chemicals by connecting and disconnecting load hoses and load fertilizer by operating loader trucks and forklifts. Maintain and clean all equipment daily and promptly notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions.
Any tasks associated with a Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) other than the SOC designated in this job order are strictly incidental, performed only on an occasional basis, constitute less than the majority of the contractual period, and shall not be construed as reflective of the primary occupation for which certification is sought.
The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
Worker must be available and willing to work the entire season.

### Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
### Minimum Experience Required
Three (3) months of verifiable experience relevant to the job is required. Worker must demonstrate the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Worker must be able to speak and understand English.
Worker must be able to obtain a CDL within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.
Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive sitting and walking.

### Additional Compensation
Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employer's discretion.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

### Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
