Northrop Grumman Defense Systems and the Sentinel program is seeking an **Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout (** **IATC) Deputy Manager 3** to be located in **Roy, UT.** The AVE IATC Deputy Manager will be responsible to the AVE IATC Director for the overall test, checkout and delivery of the AVE and to support AVE development and qualification. The successful candidate will also be responsible to the IATC Director for Integrated Product Team (IPT) programmatic execution, including earned value cost and schedule management, managing risk and opportunities, and managing change control. This is a down-and-in focused position with up-and-out visibility. **_This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package._** **The AVE IATC Deputy Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:** + Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout – Responsible for the overall integration, test, checkout and delivery of the Sentinel AVE. This includes the development of an integrated test planning approach, detailed test planning, test execution, requirements verification of the AVE, and supporting the planning and execution of the following test campaigns: + I&T of inert Ground Test Missiles (GTMs) + I&T of Flight Test Missiles (FTMs) + AVE Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) testing in support of the Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) test campaign + Various Ground Test Campaigns + Design – Responsible for the design of limited effectivity support equipment and EGSE/MGSE to support the various test campaigns. + Customer Interface Management – Will be a primary point of contact for internal and USG customer interaction and coordination and a representative of the AVE IATC test team. + System Architecture and Verification Planning – Oversee the design and development of requirements verification decisions within the system architecture in coordination with systems engineering and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). + Multi-disciplinary Interface Management – Oversee the development of comprehensive design and interface requirements and lead the verification effort, ensuring cross-functional and cross-IPT communication. + Requirements-based Testing and TLYF Management – Ensure program master test plans, integration concepts and integration flows developed by the Integrated Test Planning team are constructed in a Test Like You Fly manner and verified. + Employee Management – Oversee the performance, progression and mentoring of the AVE IATC team members. Authority to manage personnel, direct activities and act as a delegate for IATC as approved by the IATC Director. + Program Execution – Motivate and guide team members towards achieving their performance goals. This includes the ability to clearly define expectations, track progress using performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential. + Risk and Opportunities (R&O) Management – Facilitate and own the R&O management process and review board in coordination with the AVE IATC Director and corresponding AVE Risk Manager. + Schedule and Cost Reporting Management – Responsible for the AVE IATC team cost, schedule and performance reporting within the set segment business rhythm. Responsible for overseeing the baseline change request process and monthly EVMS reporting. + Travel – May be required to travel up to 10% of the time. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelors Degree with 8 years’ experience, or Masters Degree and 6 years’ experience, or in lieu of a degree 6 additional years of experience supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries. + 3+ years of experience working with system integration and test principles and test plan development at any level of build (unit, sub-system, system, etc.). + 3+ years of experience in a formal lead or management position, with strong program execution skills, including a proven track record of meeting program cost and schedule milestones. + Demonstrated knowledge of EVMS principles and working with a program business rhythm. + 3+ years of experience showcasing strong partnership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and disciplines. + 3+ years of experience demonstrating the ability to integrate, engage, and lead a team to perform at top level of performance, driving accountability, empowering team members and establishing clear expectations. + Must be a US Citizen with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years. + Must have Special Access Program (SAP) approval and maintain it as determined by the company to meet its business need. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 10 years’ experience, or Masters Degree in STEM and 8 years’ experience, or in lieu of a STEM degree 8 additional years of experience supporting US Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries. + 3+ years of experience working with ICBMs. + 3+ years of experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with internal staff, external customers, and partners. + Knowledge and experience in System Engineering using CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Principles. + Understanding of Integrated Test Plan principles and experience with forming a program test framework. + Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database. + Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance. **\#SentinelLeadership** Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $242,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
