Aerospace Inspector - GD&T & CMM
Job Description
An aerospace company specializing in cockpit security systems, lavatory equipment, flight controls, and interior/exterior hardware is seeking a dedicated CMM Inspector with experience in GD&T. This role requires working Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with potential overtime on Saturdays.
Responsibilities
Perform diversified inspection work utilizing engineering drawings, process specifications, material certifications, test reports, and customer documents to verify purchased parts.Create First Article Inspection (FAI) reports using the AS9102 form for detailed parts manufactured, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and final deliverable units.Execute complex parts inspection using CMM equipment and other standard inspection gauges.Interpret engineering drawings and perform general inspection work in various areas, including receiving, in-process, and final shipping inspections.Manage equipment and tools to ensure calibration under the direction of the inspection lead.Familiarize with and recommend improvements to applicable inspection procedures and related work instructions.Measure parts to verify the accuracy of dimensions using standard and/or special CMM measuring equipment.Approve acceptable parts and prepare necessary paperwork to document results.Describe the condition of unacceptable parts via the Non-conforming Material Report (NCR) and initiate NCR for disposition.Maintain required inspection records and interact with operators, leads, managers, and outside calibration providers.Essential Skills
Proficiency in inspection and quality control with experience in CMM, GD&T, and creating First Article Inspection reports using AS9102.Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, rulers, hardness testers, and CMM equipment.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.At least 2 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical inspection techniques.Experience in calibration processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience with CMM Software.Experience utilizing Epicor ERP System.Capability to inspect various product lines, including fluid lines, faucets, water tanks, and CNC parts.Why Work Here?

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with potential overtime on Saturdays. The role requires wearing steel-toed shoes, boots, or safety shoes in a manufacturing environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
