Aerospace Buyer
(Job Description) An aerospace manufacturing company located in Auburn, WA is currently hiring for a Buyer to support indirect and direct procurement for the operations and the engineering teams. This role involves sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services. This position will be a 6-month contract-to-hire and will be a 100% onsite opportunity working from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM PST, Monday - Friday. Pay - $25/hr. - $30/hr. Location - Auburn, WA (100% Onsite) Schedule - 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM PST (Monday - Friday) Contract Duration - 6 Months Contract To hire W2 Employment Through Aston Carter (Summary of Key Responsibilities) + Manage RFPs, purchase orders, and supplier needs + Source and assess Vendors, negotiate terms, and resolve conflicts + Collaborate with engineering teams on procurement for new product proposals + Ensure compliance with regulatory purchasing and transportation standards + Support continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery + Manage and update the approved vendor list and necessary certifications + Occasionally, physically move parts. Physically able to move around to the correct parts department. (Work Environment) + Manufacturing environment. + The employee will regularly lift and/or move items and equipment with a pallet jack. (Qualification Requirements) + (Must Have) 1-3 years of procurement/buying experience. + (Must Have) Proficiency with Excel + (Highly Preferred) Aerospace manufacturing industry experience. + Excellent communication skills to comfortably speak to vendors and internal managers. (Technology Requirements) + Microsoft Office Suite and Excel Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
