Job Title: Aerospace Assembler (Weekend Shift)
Job Description

This role involves the assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components at a manufacturing facility located at the Sky Harbor Airport. The position supports major clients in the aerospace industry, including renowned companies like Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Cessna. The assembler will be required to read blueprints and standard operating procedures to successfully complete the assembly of built components and parts.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints and SOPs to assemble components.Utilize power tools, hand tools, drills, and torque tools for assembly.Perform electric bond checks to ensure quality.Understand and potentially apply Honeywell specifications.Adhere to health and safety guidelines in all tasks.Essential Skills2-3 years of assembly experience, preferably in aerospace.Experience with large parts and mechanical assembly.Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and performing torque settings.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in automotive or other related industries is acceptable.Basic quality verification practices, including torque settings and dimensional measurements.Experience with Commercial or Military Aircraft engines is a significant advantage.Familiarity with Honeywell specifications is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an aerospace manufacturing setting located at Honeywell near the Sky Harbor Airport. The team operates under Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles. Initially, training will take place Tuesday to Friday from 11:30 AM to 10 PM, transitioning to a weekend schedule of Saturday to Monday, 6 AM to 6:30 PM. Employees work 36 hours and are compensated for 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
