Job Title: Aerospace Mechanical Assembler
Payrate: $22 to $28 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Woodinville, WA
Job Description
Perform a variety of operations to mechanically assemble major structures such as doors, mechanisms, and structural subassemblies like rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, and engage in minor part-fitting operations.
Responsibilities
Perform minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate structural changes.Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or control procedures.Layout parts per manufacturing orders and drawings, and verify quantities and assembly instructions.Pull tools, jigs, templates, and fixtures for setups and replace when complete.Package and box assemblies for shipment per work orders and customer specifications.Operate designated machines and hand tools as required with minimal supervision.Familiarize with University Swaging Assembly Processes and Procedures including applicable Business Quality Management System (BQMS) procedures.Perform special projects occasionally and other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Some aerospace or mechanical assembly experience is preferredRiveting, boding, and bearing installation experience is a plusBasic math skills and ability to learn blueprint readingAbility to learn general Tier II level aerospace assembly concepts and proceduresGood manual dexterity with ability to maintain close tolerancesCapable of using a variety of manufacturing tools and measuring devicesBasic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructionsGood attendance, attitude, and ability to communicate and work cooperatively with othersGood attention to detailWork Environment
Work in a large warehouse surrounded by machine operating, shipping, and powder coating departments in a fast-paced production environment. The company culture is invested in employee growth and offers overtime and a flexible schedule. Typical manufacturing attire is required, including steel-toed shoes, jeans, and appropriate shirts. Additional PPE as required will be provided.
