Aegis Based Defense Test Engineer

The candidate will work with multiple mission stakeholders (Mission Director, Mission Manager, Integrated Event Test Team, and element Mission Management Team) in planning, coordinating, integrating, and executing Aegis Based Defense Tests. The candidate will collaborate with MDA, military services, other government agencies, and contractor personnel to support test execution. The candidate will assist in the test readiness reviews; identify, generate and manage schedules, requirements and other documentation in support of flight test operations; support test analysis and post-mission reporting in direct support to the Mission Test Director and Mission Execution Team members.
The candidate will help prepare execution materials used during countdown events; prepare decision-quality materials such as briefings and supporting documentation (white papers, fact sheets, status reports, progress reports, and information papers) for senior level reviews and mission milestone meetings. Finally, the candidate will support development and coordination of daily operational schedules for on-time / on-readiness mission execution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Education: BS in an engineering field.Experience: 7 years relevant experience. Experience with DoD test processes and/or test execution desired.Must be able to travel in support of test events US Navy background/experience (such as Aegis Fire Control tech) strongly desired – Recent Aegis Combat Systems knowledge preferable Experience w/ a technical background; preferably related to ballistic missile testing Experience in MDS capability, MDA requirements process, test planning and execution, and MDS architecture and interoperability Motivated and ability to work effectively, critical thinkingStrong attention to detail; ability to prioritize activities and to efficiently perform multiple tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, coordinate, and execute Aegis-Based Defense test events in collaboration with mission stakeholders and government/contractor partners
Support test readiness activities including schedule development, requirements management, documentation, and operational planning
Assist with flight test execution, countdown support, and real-time coordination during mission events
Conduct test analysis and contribute to post-mission reporting and lessons learned
Prepare decision-quality briefings, reports, and materials for senior leadership and mission reviews
Develop and manage daily operational schedules to ensure on-time, mission-ready execution
