As we integrate our early career offerings into a unified portfolio, we are seeking a highly analytical **Advanced Specialist, Data Analyst & Business Intelligence** to drive rigorous financial modeling, commercial performance analysis, and data-driven decision support across the Career Ready business. **The Role** We are seeking a highly analytical, sales-oriented Business Analyst to support our Commercial Excellence & Growth organization. This role is ideal for someone a few years out of undergrad (pre-MBA) with experience in consulting, sales operations, revenue operations, or data analytics who is excited to work at the intersection of data, strategy, and commercial execution. This individual will partner directly with Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Commercial Strategy to analyze performance data, uncover actionable insights, and drive initiatives that improve pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, cross-sell execution, and overall GTM effectiveness across the Career Ready portfolio. Through rigorous analysis, intellectual curiosity and strong communication this individual will support the Career Ready sales team in driving growth by helpidentifying key levers that will improve business outcomes. Specifically, this individual will evaluate sales performance drivers, make recommendations, and support the sales team on executing on those recommendations. These recommendations could include activities like account prioritization, opportunity evaluation, cross-sell analysis, deal support, and pricing changes. **Responsibilities** + Partner with Sales leadership to prepare and support pipeline reviews, forecast calls, and territory performance discussions + Model pricing, discounting, and scenario analyses to inform sales strategy + Quantify revenue impact of new initiatives, product launches, and GTM changes + Partner with product, sales, and finance teams to model business scenarios and quantify potential impact + Prepare executive-ready presentations and reports that clearly communicate insights, trends, and recommendations + Track progress against key initiatives, ensuring accountability and transparency across the team + Conduct ad hoc analysis to support new opportunities and priority strategic questions **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, data analytics, or related field + 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst, sales analyst, RevOps analyst, or consulting role; experience supporting a Sales organization in a business analyst capacity (e.g., pipeline analysis, forecasting support, territory reporting, performance analytics) is a plus + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) + Experience gathering, synthesizing, and presenting complex data in clear and compelling ways + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill insights for senior leadership + Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a complex, matrixed organization + Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a strong sense of ownership + Must be based in the US **Preferred** + Experience in the education, publishing, or learning technology sectors + Experience supporting a Sales organization in a business analyst capacity (e.g., pipeline analysis, forecasting support, territory reporting, performance analytics) + Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis + Exposure to pricing strategy, market research, or customer segmentation + Prior experience identifying synergies or growth opportunities across business units Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location. The full-time salary range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000. This position is eligible for Pearson’s annual incentive program. Information on benefits can be found here.
