The Advanced Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventative maintenance on equipment and building facilities. This role involves troubleshooting various types of manufacturing equipment to minimize machine downtime and using a broad range of tools to disassemble and reassemble equipment for accurate and efficient operations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and building facilities.Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to limit machine downtime.Use hand and machine tools for equipment disassembly and reassembly.Perform building maintenance duties including light electrical work, carpentry, and plumbing.Initiate machine programs using CNC or P.C. programmers.Identify and remediate safety hazards and concerns.Coordinate with outside contractors to meet business objectives.Utilize shop math, drawings, specifications, and precision instruments for problem-solving on CNC and P.C. controlled machines.Perform machining and welding tasks.Stay current with maintenance training in electronic and hydraulic systems.Adhere to safety guidelines and lean principles.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimum of 2+ years of related machine maintenance experience or education.Ability to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication.Experience with rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps, and piping systems.Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Experience with troubleshooting and programming PLC controllers is preferred.Basic computer skills.Basic math skills.Basic understanding of gauging/measuring devices.Blueprint reading skills.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with CNC Lathes and Mills, including Mazak, Okuma, Mori Seki, Daewoo, and DMG.
