Roles and Responsibilities
Execute multiple advanced repair development projects, advancing a variety of technologies through feasibility, business case assessment, process development, process qualification, and industrialization into repair facilities for new and updated processes.Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Maintains an awareness of the latest technical developments in multiple technology spaces.Use experience and good judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in the area of technology responsibility. Leverage an internal and external network to analyze problems and arrive at decisions.Develop working knowledge of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Achieves in-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills who is driven to make a positive impact on the teamRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 3 years of Aerospace engineering/technology development experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Prior experience and knowledge of the GE Aerospace Advanced Repair RRL processExperience and expertise in developing advanced coating technologies, machining processes, welding & additive processes, or compositesPrior experience industrializing new technology into a repair shop or manufacturing environmentStrong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemDemonstrated track record of successfully working collaboratively in a cross functional team to deliver technical resultsThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
