**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
Join the esteemed team at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, the flagship hub of Dignity Health and a member of CommonSpirit Health, as we seek a highly skilled and ambitious Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our thriving cardiovascular division.
+ Provide exceptional inpatient care and on-call coverage for patients with advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock, ensuring their immediate and long-term well-being.
+ Deliver outstanding outpatient care, managing a diverse range of heart failure patients and coordinating transplant evaluations.
+ Optionally, perform procedures such as right heart catheterizations with exercise and pharmacologic challenges, LVAD hemodynamic RAMP studies, endomyocardial biopsies, and pulmonary artery pressure monitor implants in our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing the latest techniques and technologies to improve patient outcomes.
+ Play a pivotal role in training and mentoring general cardiology fellows, medical students, and residents at our prestigious academic health center.
+ Contribute to groundbreaking clinical research initiatives that drive advancements in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
+ Potential leadership oppurtunities.
**Job Requirements**
+ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
+ Board certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases.
+ Completion of an ABIM-accredited Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship, with board eligibility or certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
+ Proven experience and proficiency in the management of a breadth of temporary mechanical circulatory support devices including VA-ECMO, Impella CP/RP/5.5, Protek-Duo, IABP, etc.
+ Expertise in the peri- and post-operative care of durable VAD and patients with heart transplants
+ Demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring, with a preference for prior academic experience.
+ Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, eager to contribute to the growth and development of our expanding program.
+ Ability to obtain full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals.
+ Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure before starting in the position
**Where You'll Work**
Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed provider group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 350 providers and 850 support staff who cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. $414,523 - $626,308 /year
