About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and a strong background in data operations, resiliency, and scalable data architectures. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and enterprise-grade data platforms that ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and operational excellence across analytics ecosystems.

What You Will Do

Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Synapse, Power BI).Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage across structured and unstructured data sources.Establish resilient data architectures with a focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and fault-tolerant design.Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated failover strategies for critical data workflows.Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning for operational and pipeline issues.Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, security, and compliance standards.Lead and manage the data operations and delivery team within the organization.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Analytics, Cloud Operations, and Business Units.Apply hands-on expertise with Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL for data transformation and large-scale data processing.Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouses, OneLake, Power BI Integration, Semantic Models, and their integration across Microsoft products.Implement data engineering solutions to integrate data from various sources into the Fabric platform.

What You Need to Be Successful

6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working in Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric environments.Experience in migrating legacy data platforms to cloud-based architectures.Experience working with global teams including business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Hands-on experience with JIRA (Kanban/Scrum workflows).Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD for data pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code).Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices for enterprise-level data systems.Understanding of data visualization solutions such as Power BI, including integration with Fabric and Azure platforms.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project lifecycle management.

Bonus Points if You Have

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project lifecycle management.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multicultural and cross‑functional teams across global locations.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Certifications in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineering.
