Admissions Counselor
Newman University is seeking a motivated Admissions Counselor to support enrollment goals through student recruitment within an assigned territory. This position represents Newman University at high schools, college fairs, community events, and on campus while guiding prospective students and families through the admissions and financial aid processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Recruit prospective students within an assigned territory and identify new recruitment areas + Build and maintain relationships with high schools, counselors, community partners, parents, alumni, and prospective students + Maintain consistent communication with prospects via phone, text, email, and social media + Meet with students and families from inquiry through enrollment and assist with application completion and financial aid questions + Represent Newman University at on‑campus and off‑campus recruiting events, including evenings and weekends + Track recruitment activity and maintain accurate student records in the University CRM + Manage a travel schedule and budget; submit weekly reports + Stay current on University programs, services, and scholarship opportunities + Collaborate with Admissions staff, Marketing, and Athletic programs to support recruitment goals + Attend staff meetings, coffee talks, and complete required University trainings + Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Admissions department Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree required + Valid driver’s license; must be insurable under University policy + Strong public speaking, organizational, and communication skills + Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with diverse populations + Availability for evenings and weekends + Fluency in Spanish preferred + CRM and social media experience a plus + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States  Mission & Values: This position supports our mission to empower graduates to transform society.
