What is the opportunity?
Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization. They are among a small group of highly rated global banks and are recognized time and time again for our financial strength, market leadership and philanthropic work.
Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

What will you do?
Provide operational support and control enabling the growth of Business in British Isles for multiple jurisdictions and business entitiesResponsible for executing the established control and risk management environment to ensure all reconciliations are produced in accordance with Bank standards and regulatory requirementsEnsuring reporting is delivered within the agreed SLA, business partners must be advised if timeframes can’t be metOperate common processes in support of all reconciliation and cash investigation activitiesEscalate file/statement issues to the Manager Reconciliations British Isles or IT British Isles to gain resolutionEnsure all Cash reconciliations and control reporting activity are completed and performed in accordance with documented proceduresProvide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the departmentEnsure proper escalation of issues / risks to managementOther duties as assigned by managementCash ReconciliationPerform daily cash reconciliation and reporting on Nostro and Custodian cash accounts and internal suspense accountsRaise payment investigations, case resolution and escalation as required.Ensure all discrepancies are investigated, raised to and rectified by relevant teams / departmentsTasks will be performed for multiple Wealth Management legal companies.Securities ReconciliationPerform daily/monthly securities Transactional/Positional reconciliation of sub-Custodians and Mutual FundsUpload any manually received statementsEnsure all discrepancies are investigated, raised to and rectified by relevant teams / departmentsWhat do you need to succeed?

Fast learner for new processing tasks assignedBe able to work with minimal supervisionAdherence to procedures and control processesAbility to complete ad-hoc tasks and project deliverables by deadlines and achieve performance targets setStrong working knowledge in MS Outlook / MS Word / MS ExcelStrong working knowledge in International Payments and InvestigationsNice-to-have
Diploma / Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferredSelf-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environmentMinimum 2 years of working experiences within a Private Bank or Wealth Management environmentGood inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal)Preferably with knowledge of Intellisuite reconciliation toolsWhat’s in it for you?
