This job provides administrative and technical support for all areas of the Construction Codes and Licensing Division (CCLD). It involves sharing technical information with the public through phone calls, emails, and in-person at the CCLD Help Desk. The position also supports CCLD staff to help meet program goals and objectives and may include working on special projects as assigned. Other duties may be assigned as needed. **Minimum Qualifications** + Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files. + Skill in data entry sufficient to receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents. + Skill in Keyboarding/typing, using Microsoft Word or equivalent software, sufficient to produce correspondence in an efficient and timely manner. + Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to a variety of customers over the phone, in person and through email and other written or electronic correspondence. + Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner to both internal and external customers. **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who may not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or common experiences. + Language skills other than English (Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Karen or ASL). **Additional Requirements** It is the policy that all final candidates submit to a background investigation prior to employment.
