This person will be primarily responsible for assisting in the organization’s compliance within the business license area. They will provide support for the renewals, new store and relocation license application process. They will also perform miscellaneous administrative responsibilities for the Tax department.
A Day In The Life:
Assist in the business license and permit process which includes renewal of licenses/permits for existing stores, apply for licenses/permits for new and relocated stores. Requesting checks and ensuring all tax checks are mailed out timely. Enter data into the database, scanning, coping, filing, and mailing all documents associated with the process.
Communication with the various taxing authorities to ensure all renewals notices and licenses/permits are received and forwarded to the stores for posting in a visible place.
Perform miscellaneous administrative responsibilities for the whole Tax Department. This includes opening and distributing mail to the proper person, copying, filing, scanning, and mailing out payments notices and various other administrative work.

Ensure tax compliance for the organization in a specific tax category. Interact with internal departments across the organization. Externally interact with vendors, inspectors, compliance officers and tax agencies. Accuracy and diligence impact the organization’s tax compliance. Timeliness and professional handling of issues representing the organization.
