Job Description
Purpose:
The Administrative Coordinator I provides analytical, reporting, and communications support to the Department Administrator and department leadership. This position will assist with supporting faculty recognition, promotion and review processes, and preparing complex data for standardized reporting surveys. Works closely with the department’s Communications Coordinator and its Administrator in advancing the department’s strategic goals, keeping in line with the department’s standards. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and editing skills, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Maintain department’s contact information for all.
+ Compile, analyze, and prepare faculty and student data for reports used internally by the college and department.
+ Support faculty recognition and promotion reviews through data preparation and internal review of materials.
Faculty Awards and Recognition
+ Draft, edit, and refine faculty award nomination letters and supporting materials.
+ Provide editorial feedback to strengthen packages.
+ Maintain historical records of award submissions, including eligibility requirements.
Writing & Additional Support
+ Assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal documentation.
+ Provide writing and data support for ABET accreditation and Academic Program Review (APRT) processes, including narratives, tables, and supporting materials.
+ Interview faculty and students, prepare drafts of articles.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
What we need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ The successful candidate will be creative, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to lead or support projects as needed. Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities are essential. Demonstrated data analysis, reporting, or institutional research experience preferred. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills demonstrate the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
