This position is responsible for handling and managing all the mail needs of the DMV headquarters located in Nash County. Mail is received, sorted, tracked and distributed on a daily basis. Mail is also picked up and sent out for mailing on a daily basis. The mailroom tracks all incoming trackable mail such as FedEx, UPS, Certified Mail, and any other trackable mail/packages that may come in. The person in this position must possess the ability to sort and track mail, lift up to 50 pounds, deliver and pick up mail and other items, and communicate tactfully with a diverse range of individuals and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. This person must be able to drive a golf cart to haul heavy mail and packages across the DMV campus. This position serves as a backup for the other two people working in the mailroom. + The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm + This position does not have the ability to telework . Additional Expectations: + This position will be exposed to the elements on a daily basis as they deliver mail to 5 buildings across the DMV headquarters campus. + Tact and professionalism is a requirement as this position interacts with many people every day. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety protocols.
