Position Title: Administrative Assistant - Public Services Job Posting Closing Date: 02/10 Provo City is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to perform clerical support work for the Public Services division of the Public Works Department. What are the main duties? + Enter and retrieve data from specialized software programs for the public services division. + Maintain files and records, including organizing and establishing appropriate filing processes. + Receive and route calls. + Perform routine front office administrative duties and provide desk coverage for other administrative roles as needed. + Greet customers and answer questions about services. + Type reports, forms, and other documents. + Make copies and operate general office equipment and machines. + Provide information from reports and records, including confidential information. + Design and edit forms and correspondence for final review. + Maintain calendars and staff schedules. + Assist with payroll and time tracking responsibilities. + Take notes at meetings as needed. + Perform specialized tasks specific to the public services division and other related duties as required. What do I need to apply? + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). + Two (2) years of clerical experience. + OR an equivalent combination of job-related education and experience [substituting each 1 year of post-secondary education/training for 6 months of experience. + Specific experience using specialized computers or software packages may be required. + A valid, lawful Driver license may be required. What is the selection process? Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on February 11, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration. If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months. What are the hours? This position is up to 25 hours a week. Monday through Thursday with a flexible work schedule. Further details to be discussed in the interview. Why Provo City?
