The Administrative Assistant will work for the associate deans and also work with the Administration Office when needed for specific tasks. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling administrative tasks for the associate deans and faculty which would include typing, scheduling meetings, answering phones and other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities Works directly with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the other associate deans on a wide range of administrative tasksProvides administrative and secretarial support to the associate deans and faculty including: Sorting mail, preparing letters for signature, typing, answering phones, proctoring, and other tasks as assignedMaintains daily calendars for the associate deans including scheduling appointmentsMaintains records and files for all work performed for the associate deansAssists the Executive Assistant to the Dean with ordering office supplies, completing requisitions as part of the purchase order system, and coordinating catering requests for the Dean's SuiteWorks with all departments at the Law CenterPerforms other duties and completes projects as assigned Qualifications Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree preferred.Experience as an administrative assistant preferred.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & OutlookHighly energetic organized and efficient with a “get things done” attitude.Fast, yet a detail-oriented and accurate worker.Entirely dependable: Completes tasks assigned; knows how to keep the associate deans updated as to progress or completion; knows when to raise issues requiring the Associate Deans' guidance or intervention.Discreet ability to keep sensitive information confidential.Ability to problem solve and exhibit a positive attitude.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.Outstanding ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proven ability as a team playerStrong analytical skills and project management skills.PC expertise requiredKnowledge of Canvas a plus.TravelAs needed for events/programsWorking ConditionsExtensive time sitting and working on the computerAble to lift up to 5 lbs.
