Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor for a manufacturing client in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of supervisory experience in AR, with a strong background in lien releases, preliminary notices, and overall AR operations. This position plays a critical role, both supporting the AR team and being the lead processor. Responsibilities: · Support and mentor the Accounts Receivable team. · Process and oversee day-to-day operations including cash applications, billing, and lien releases. · Review and manage the preparation and distribution of customer invoices. · Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection and resolve any discrepancies or issues, help provide guidance to the internal Collections team. · Handle the processing and issuance of preliminary notices and lien releases in compliance with legal and company requirements. · Execute month-end and year-end close procedures related to accounts receivable. · Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. · Maintains positive relationships with all customers. Accommodates all reasonable customer requests. Acts as liaison between customer and site sales representatives. · Ensure AR compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. · Participate in audits and support documentation requests as needed. Requirements Qualifications: · 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role in Accounts Receivable. · Proficient knowledge of construction lien laws, preliminary notices, and lien release processes is preferred. · Strong leadership and team management abilities. · Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. · High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. · Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems. · Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite. · Education – associate's degree in accounting; equivalent work experience may be considered.
