Description A small, well-established organization in Birmingham is seeking an Accounts Receivable Professional to join its close-knit accounting team. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works alongside a team of experienced accounting professionals. Key Responsibilities + Monitor customer account balances to ensure timely receipt of payments + Provide courteous and professional customer service via phone and email regarding billing questions and past-due accounts + Issue late notices and manage account status changes when necessary + Coordinate with internal teams regarding account reinstatements and adjustments + Communicate with legal counsel regarding accounts in collections or bankruptcy status + Process annual audit billings and ensure timely collection + Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies + Process invoices, payments, refunds, and account adjustments accurately + Assist with cash management and related accounting functions + Perform additional accounting duties as assigned Work Environment & Benefits + Hybrid schedule (minimum 2 days per week in office) + Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm + Excellent health and retirement benefits + Supportive, people-focused culture + Long-term stability and internal growth opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable professional who values workplace culture, customer service, and being part of a collaborative and respectful team.
