Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at our headquarters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling receipts, handling payments, and ensuring accurate application of payment information.
Responsibilities
Reconcile and process all paper, electronic, and credit card receipts not automatically posted through PeopleSoft.Handle payments (checks) not posted through the Accounts Receivable system.Research unidentified Accounts Receivable checks.Verify all payment information is accurate and applied to the proper customer accounts.Utilize web-based image applications.Process and reconcile daily bank deposits, including both non-Accounts Receivable and Accounts Receivable.Retrieve, compile, and process all Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs).Research and retrieve Imaged Check Requests.Perform other Accounts Receivable duties as requested.Essential Skills
0-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.Proficiency in Excel, with experience in pivot tables, V-lookups, and other advanced functions.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both internal and external customers.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Applications is a plus.Experience in payment processing and customer service.Work Environment
This role is situated in a cubical environment within one of two buildings associated with the company.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
