Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Job Description

This role is pivotal in preparing and maintaining accounting records, verifying financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The position involves general accounting practices and requires a proactive approach to maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records.Verify financial transactions for compliance with GAAP.Complete accurate entries in QuickBooks.Manage Accounts Receivable and occasionally assist with Accounts Payable.Research discrepancies in financial numbers and implement necessary corrections.Maintain and improve internal financial controls.Assist with the invoicing process.Participate in purchasing activities and submit Purchase Orders.Perform administrative assistant duties such as answering phones and guest check-in when needed.Organize and maintain filing systems.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Experience in invoicing and financial discrepancy resolution.High mathematical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.3 years of accounting experience preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. The office culture emphasizes collaboration, with team members covering for each other as necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
