Job Description
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The role involves processing credit and re-bill transactions, invoice corrections, and managing incoming payments through various methods including lock boxes, credit card transactions, EDI transactions, checks, and cash. You will play a crucial role in researching and resolving payment discrepancies, preparing daily cash deposits and reports, and reconciling customer accounts. Additionally, you will handle month-end reports, review unearned discount transactions, and process adjustments like N3F chargebacks and refund checks.
Responsibilities
Process credit and re-bill transactions, and invoice corrections.Manage incoming payments using various payment methods such as lock boxes, credit card transactions, EDI transactions, checks, and cash.Research and resolve payment discrepancies.Prepare daily cash deposits and reports.Resolve deductions using appropriate General Ledger accounts.Process and adjust N3F chargebacks and refund checks.Reconcile customer accounts.Process month-end reports.Review unearned discount transactions.Essential Skills
Experience with payment processing and cash application.Proficiency in accounts receivable tasks.1+ year of AR, Cash App, or Collections experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required.Experience in an automated AR/Cash App environment is a plus.Basic Excel skills are necessary, though pivot table or vlookup creation is not required.Work Environment
This position is based in our Minneapolis location, where we are a family-owned company experiencing 10-15% growth in recent years. With a team of about 500 employees, 150 of whom are based here in MN, we have a diverse accounting team including AP, AR, Billing, Credit, and Collections departments. The Accounts Receivable team separates Credit/Collections and Cash Application roles, with this position focusing on Cash Application. Our office is a 2-3 story building located just west of the Mississippi River, providing a welcoming and supportive family environment. The standard working hours are ideally 9-5, with coverage needed until 5 pm. We use Infor as our ERP system and Billtrust for customer payments. We are currently transitioning to more automated processes, making experience in an automated environment a valuable asset.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
