Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support accounts receivable operations in a mission-driven organization focused on affordable housing and community support. This full-time, on-site role offers an opportunity to work for a good cause and be part of a team dedicated to success.

ResponsibilitiesReconcile resident accounts and coordinate with property management.Manage collections for former tenants, including payment plans and refunds.Ensure compliance with state notification laws.Invoice affiliated nonprofits for shared services.Handle inter-agency receivables and reporting.Prepare financial reports such as rent rolls and aged receivables.Maintain accurate records of receivable activity.Essential SkillsExperience in government, property management, affordable housing, or nonprofit sectors highly preferred.Associate degree in accounting or related field, plus two years of relevant experience.Experience in accounts receivable, including collections.General Ledger experience - journal entries, debits, credits, reconciliations.Proficiency in MS Excel, including Lookups (X, V, H, etc.) and Pivot Tables.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Elite Software is a bonus.Knowledge of multi-family real estate such as apartments, condos, and living is advantageous.Work Environment

The role is fully in-office with a team size of 5, expanding to 6 with this position. The Accounting Supervisor will provide training. The work schedule offers flexible hours with a set schedule between 7 AM and 6 PM, adjustable for appointments. Parking is available for employees, and the dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.57 - $25.93/hr.
