Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Novi, Michigan. This role involves managing customer accounts, processing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records to ensure the efficient operation of our accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will excel in organization, communication, and have a strong foundation in accounting principles. Responsibilities: • Process, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions accurately. • Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with company policies and submit them to customers promptly. • Maintain and update customer files, including changes to contact information and other relevant details. • Generate reports detailing the current status of customer accounts as requested. • Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies, including overdue balances. • Create and distribute monthly billing statements based on general ledger data. • Organize and manage filing systems for accounts receivable documentation. • Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned by management. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, particularly in accounts receivable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software applications. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to use office equipment, such as computers, calculators, and copiers, efficiently. • Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with customers and team members.
