Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Willoughby, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, activity-driven environment and is comfortable handling high volumes of accounts. This is a direct hire position with standard in office hours; Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections, to ensure timely payments. • Handle customer accounts through various portals, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies. • Conduct soft collections with a meticulous and conversational approach, avoiding confrontational methods. • Monitor and manage a high volume of accounts, adapting to seasonal variations in workload. • Perform repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. • Collaborate with customers to resolve payment issues and ensure account reconciliation. • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for reporting purposes. • Adapt to different customer circumstances while following consistent procedures. • Work in an activity-driven environment, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles. • Strong skills in cash collections and billing functions. • Ability to handle high volumes of accounts and prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented and approachable demeanor. • Proficiency in navigating customer portals and resolving account issues. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, activity-driven setting. • Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and soft collection techniques.
