A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Cash Application Specialist at MKS Inc, you will partner with customers and other team members to verify the precision of customer payments by aligning them with the corresponding invoices. Additionally, you play a crucial role in managing supplementary tasks for the accounts receivables department, ensuring adherence to internal and external quality, safety, and environmental regulations. Your responsibilities incorporate the recovery of customer collections, maintaining an up-to-date customer portfolio, preventing account expiration, and facilitating effective reconciliation of accounts. In this role, you will report to the Regional Credit Manager.
This position is fully onsite, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid arrangement
You Will Make an Impact By:
+ Daily processing of cash receipts for US, CA and MX to customer accounts, including credit card payment, other adjustments for credits/debits and small account write-offs
+ Assist with netting intercompany receivables and payments, e.g. CSA. Processing of intercompany payments received from ACH, EFT, wire transfers, credit cards or checks.
+ Ensure non-customer payments are recorded properly.
+ Identify unapplied amounts, post to customer accounts, inquire on back up and clear unapplied against customer account.
+ Maintenance of accounting records (filing remittances, bank statements and approvals for write offs)
+ Support A/R service support center and Regional A/R Manager with any relevant issues relating to cash receipts, applications, held orders, collections, bankruptcies, and audits.
+ Maintain internal communication regarding the situation of customers.
+ Preparing month end close reporting.
Skills You Bring:
+ High School Diploma or GED. (Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.)
+ ERP knowledge (such as SAP) and Microsoft Office.
+ 3+ years experience in Cash Application, customer account reconciliations, accounts receivable and collections- Strongly preffered
+ 1+ Data Entry – 10 key efficient.
+ Proficient in English and Spanish spoken and written.
+ Strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcome
+ Exceptional attention to details
+ Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and sales representatives
+ High efficiency in managing tasks and delivering results
