Accounts Receivable Associate
Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Associate is an integral part of the finance team, responsible for the precise and prompt management of receivable accounts. The role ensures a positive experience for both internal teams and external customers through efficient payment application and resolution of payment-related issues. While primarily focused on accounts receivable functions, this position also provides backup support for accounts payable activities.
Responsibilities
Handle customer service requests related to billing and receivables.Process policyholder payments through the company’s billing system.Oversee daily lockbox transactions and maintain accurate records.Investigate and resolve returned checks, ACH transactions, and credit card disputes.Prepare and record daily cash deposits.Respond to inquiries regarding policyholder billing and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.Collaborate with external vendors and partners to address billing concerns.Manage and process miscellaneous deposits received onsite.Reconcile payment processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Serve as backup for Accounts Payable by reviewing and entering invoices into the AP system, processing check and ACH payment batches, and addressing vendor inquiries and resolving discrepancies.Contribute to departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and data entry.Strong attention to detail.Experience with Oracle.Ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.Willingness to learn and automate processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience required.Oracle experience is a plus.Experience with system implementation and/or system upgrades is beneficial.Work Environment
The role offers a hybrid work environment with a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Flexibility is available within this timeframe as long as 40 hours are met. Employees are expected to work onsite for 3 days and remotely for 2 days each week.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
