What you will have an opportunity to do:

Bill Accounts Receivable invoices and follows up with collection callsResponsible for verifying all groups rooming lists with the assistance of the Rooms ControllerResponsible for the maintenance of all in-house accounts for groups, functions etc.Responsible for all functions related to the Group folder. This includes set-up, sales contract, signed BEO forms, banquet checks, all charges, rooming lists, advanced deposits, and ultimately invoicing the clientResponsible for all account invoicing according to Hotel’s standards and guests needs  Work to ensure all house accounts are checked out within 3 working days of Group’s departureAttend the Monthly A/R Credit Meeting and have reports of all account activity, accurate and current for the meeting’s reviewAssist with preparing Wholesaler billingPrepare an Accounts Receivable ageing report at the end of each month and also the day before the credit meeting for reviewFile copies of check stubs and check logs for A/R paymentsAnswer Accounts Receivables inquiries from guests and groupsResearch customer claims of invoice paymentsFollow up with group collection activity on any account over 30 days dueOther duties may be assigned as business need demands.

What are we looking for?

High school graduate or equivalentMinimum one (1) year previous hotel-related experience in Accounts Receivable requiredStrong knowledge in Opera/PMS requiredMust speak, read, write, and understand the English languageAdvance computer skills including Word, Excel & Outlook requiredAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume The employee will occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 poundsMust be able to work well under pressure, remain calm and can resolve problemsMust be able to handle large volume and variety of requests while maintaining attention to detail, plus good judgement in making decisionsMust be able to work flexible schedule including late evenings, weekends and public holidays
