Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee critical financial operations within a manufacturing environment in Woodbury, Minnesota. This position involves managing complex accounts payable activities, including corporate travel and entertainment expenses, procurement card programs, and invoice processing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in policy compliance, risk management, and financial reporting while driving efficiency and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities: • Supervise daily operations of the accounts payable team in a multi-system, enterprise environment. • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on resolving accounting and process-related challenges. • Develop strategies in collaboration with leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness and streamline processes. • Govern and enforce policies related to accounts payable, ensuring strict compliance and minimizing risk. • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reconciliations for accounts payable activities. • Conduct forensic investigations into compliance concerns and resolve any identified issues. • Drive productivity by implementing effective operational controls and monitoring performance metrics. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions during key reporting cycles. • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to address transactional concerns and improve communication. • Prepare and analyze detailed reports on accounts payable activities to support decision-making processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable management within a manufacturing or similar industry. • Strong knowledge of expense reporting systems, such as Concur, and procurement card programs. • Proficiency in coding invoices and managing automated clearing house (ACH) transactions. • Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools. • Expertise in budgeting, expense allocation, and financial reconciliation processes. • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
