Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Payroll/Accounts Payable Manager in supervising the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Assists in the supervision and training of the Accounts Payable RepresentativesReviews and verifies invoices and supporting documentation to ensure it is complete, accurate and contains the proper approval authorization, in accordance with company policy, prior to paymentProcesses vendors and employees T&E reimbursements through a computerized accounting systemWorks with external departments and vendors to resolve issues and ensures timely processing of paymentsEnsures checks are mailed out weeklyAdheres to departmental and company policies and proceduresSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates with Purchasing to ensure compliance with vendor licensing and updates to the vendor master filesAssists the Payroll/Accounts Payable Manager with 1099 processingComplies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA)Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalentTwo years of experience in an Accounts Payable department in a high volume operationOne year of supervisory experienceBasic computer skills and prior experience in 1099 processingCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Good written and verbal communication skillsGood organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate tasksKnowledge of Infinium, Stratton Warren and OnbaseKnowledge of department policies and proceduresTraining Requirements:
Must complete the Core Supervisor Training courseMust be HIPAA certifiedPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
