Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established, family-owned construction company in Springfield, MA. This onsite role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative office environment alongside another AP Specialist, supporting high-volume invoice processing and day-to-day accounts payable operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess 400–500 invoices per week with speed and accuracyManage accounts payable functions, including invoice entry, matching, and verificationWork with purchase orders and resolve invoice discrepancies as neededUtilize ERP systems such as Sage and Timberline to manage AP workflowsMaintain detailed and accurate notes and documentationCollaborate closely with the AP team and internal stakeholders to ensure timely paymentsRequired QualificationsPrior experience in Accounts Payable and invoice processingProven ability to handle high-volume AP workloadsExperience working with ERP systems (Sage and/or Timberline preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to retain information and document processes accuratelyBasic accounting knowledgePreferred QualificationsExperience in the construction industry (a plus, not required)Familiarity with purchase order-based invoicingWork EnvironmentThis is an onsite position in a professional office setting within a construction-type company.
