Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a long-term assignment. This role requires a professional who can manage the end-to-end accounts payable process. The position is office-based, and offers free parking. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

Process high volumes of invoices through scanning or data entry.Ensure departmental approvals are in line with policies.Maintain financial records and documentation for compliance and accessibility.Handle confidential information in accordance with guidelines.Sort and process mail and emails related to Accounts Payable.Prepare invoice batches for scanning and manage workflow effectively.Accurately enter and verify invoice data, including vendor, date, and address.Understand 1099 codes and expense categorization.Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve invoice issues.Provide departmental backup and support across facilities.

Essential Skills

Minimum of a High School Diploma.3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable with full knowledge of the Procure to Pay process.1-3 years of experience with an automated Accounts Payable system, preferably PeopleSoft.Strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, using Microsoft Outlook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with invoice processing, accounting, data entry, and purchase orders.Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Payable processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
