Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and disbursements with meticulous attention to purchase order numbers, vendor details, tax, and discount accuracy. The role involves comparing subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts to verify gross, retention, and net costs. You will reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices or outstanding issues, collaborating with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve any invoice discrepancies. Utilizing document management software to route invoices for approval is also a key part of this role.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and disbursements accurately.Verify subcontractor invoices against purchase orders or contracts.Reconcile vendor statements and address outstanding issues.Collaborate with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve discrepancies.Utilize document management software for invoice approvals.Troubleshoot and resolve complex vendor and payment issues.Process lien waivers and allocate purchasing card costs as needed.

Qualifications:

1+ year of Accounts Payable experience.1+ year of intermediate Excel experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Experience with specific systems such as the person or Wensoft is preferred.Open to candidates eager to learn and grow, even without multiple years of experience.

This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote, with the option to work on-site if near a company location. The role primarily follows central hours with flexible start and end times, maintaining a 40-hour work week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
