Job Description

Join an engaging UK project where you will handle approximately 1,000 invoices per month. This position requires a specialist who can navigate a slower processing environment with non-routine tasks, focusing on full-cycle accounts payable processes, including research, reconciliations, and the ability to secure payment approvals.

Responsibilities

Process incoming invoices and execute routine accounting tasks as required.Review all invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.Manage high volume 3-way match invoices (4,000 invoices per month for the 6-8 person team).Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.Respond to all vendor inquiries promptly.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.Maintain accurate and thorough files and documentation in line with company policy and accounting practices.Sort and distribute incoming mail.Assist in month-end closing activities and other projects as needed.Provide back-up support for other administrative functions when necessary.Ensure timely and accurate invoice entry; manage high volume processing (50+ invoices per day).Prepare required reports and effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.Process mail, scan documents, and complete filing tasks.Maintain department electronic and paper files.Communicate effectively with the AP team, AP lead, and AP supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong AP experience with tech-savvy capabilities.Flexibility and strong work ethic.Comfortable working remotely and independently.Experience with AR is beneficial, but the role focuses on AP.Degree in a related field is advantageous.10-key proficiency.Familiarity with systems like Cass, BOSS, Transpay, and Avantis (transitioning to Coupa).

Work Environment

Enjoy a hybrid work setup with 2 remote days, set 2 in-office days, and the flexibility to choose the 3rd day. All team members work remotely on Fridays. You will be part of a smaller team within a larger corporate office environment, engaging with a variety of tasks and projects, and gaining experience with diverse systems like SAP, Cass, BOSS, Avantis, and Concur. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a business casual dress code. Initial training will take place over four days in the office for the first few weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
