Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in Middlebury, CT. This is a fully onsite role, supporting a close-knit team of four professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume invoice processing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Process approximately 300+ invoices per month with accuracy and efficiency. + Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. + Manage vendor documentation including W-9s and 1099s. + Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors. + Assist with year-end closing activities and reporting. + Manage clear and timely communication with external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain strong working relationships. + Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies. + Maintain organized records and support audits as needed. Essential Skills + Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role. + Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. + Strong understanding of 3-way match and vendor compliance documentation. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelors preferred but not required. + Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
