Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily processing of all inbound and outbound invoices with accuracy and timeliness. You will manage discrepancies, review and approve vendor invoices, prepare summary reports, and assist as a backup auditor for billing accuracy. This role involves communication with carriers regarding rates and discrepancies, resolving billing issues, and ensuring invoices are up to date.
ResponsibilitiesProcess all inbound and outbound invoices accurately and promptly.Review and address discrepancies in invoices.Approve vendor invoices and prepare summary reports for software upload.Assist as a backup auditor, correcting invoices as needed.Communicate with carriers to resolve rate discrepancies and billing issues.Review carrier account statements to prevent overdue invoices.Respond to internal and external inquiries about invoice status and payment terms.Review data processing entries before auditing batches.Scan and file invoice vouchers in an organized manner.Handle 30-40 invoices per day, focusing on payable, purchase orders, and three-way matching.Essential SkillsProficiency in Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables), Outlook, and PowerPoint.Experience processing 100+ invoices daily.Skilled in three-way matching (PO/receivers/invoice).Strong understanding of basic accounts payable concepts.Minimum of one to three years of related experience or training.High school diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing/industry preferred but not mandatory.Familiarity with AS400/Webgate preferred but not mandatory.Professional business-casual presentation.Ability to pass a credit check, background check, and drug test.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
