Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coding invoices, processing payments, and utilizing our proprietary ERP software to maintain client accounts and payment statuses. You will work with large volumes of statements and invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. This position requires strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
ResponsibilitiesCode invoices and process electronic or check payments using proprietary ERP software.Maintain and update client accounts and payment statuses.Utilize Excel to document, track, and resolve discrepancies.Work with statements containing hundreds of entries to ensure accuracy.Collaborate with internal sales and accounting teams, as well as external customers, to resolve payment discrepancies.Handle insurance carrier payables with meticulous attention to detail.Ensure all records match before processing payments to carriers.Identify due dates and determine the appropriate payment methods, whether electronic or by check.Create labels for overnight shipping when necessary and complete forms for approval.Record transactions against payables in the system.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills for both internal and external interactions.Additional Skills & QualificationsAccounting or Finance degree preferred.Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.3-5 years experience working in a professional office setting.Service-oriented with high personal standards and a hands-on work style.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
