Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records. This role involves completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The position may see changes in job duties over time, and additional functions may become essential. ResponsibilitiesReview all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.Prioritize invoices based on cash discount potential and payment terms.Process ACH, check, and wire requests.Audit and process credit card bills.Match invoices to checks, secure all necessary signatures, and distribute checks accordingly.Respond to vendor inquiries.Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Assist in month-end closing procedures.Maintain accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practices.Assist with other projects as needed.Essential SkillsAssociate's Degree in Accounting.2 years of accounts payable experience in a corporate setting.Experience with SAP systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with AS400 or Oracle systems is a plus.Strong math skills.Experience in collections, invoicing, and accounts receivable.Experience with financial accounting, banking operations, and credit unions.Work Environment
The position is based in an office setting with regular hours from Monday to Friday. The company is relocating its Accounting and Finance team back to Neenah, creating growth opportunities for employees. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.04 - $26.44/hr.
