Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our accounting team as an Entry-Level Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:Invoice Verification: Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.Data Entry: Accurately enter payment and invoice data into accounting systems.Purchase Order Matching: Match invoices to corresponding purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.Payment Processing Support: Assist with check runs, electronic payments, and other payment-related tasks.Administrative Support: Perform filing, scanning, and other clerical duties as needed.Skills and Qualifications:Data Entry Proficiency: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Basic Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.Education: High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or an associate’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.Experience: Prior experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.Why Join Us?Opportunity to grow within the accounting fieldSupportive team environmentOn-the-job training and development

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
