Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Melville, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoices, maintaining organized documentation, and fostering strong relationships with vendors. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company standards. • Manage bill payments by verifying, coding, and securing necessary approvals. • Supervise accounts payable clerks, providing corrections, guidance, and workflow improvement strategies. • Follow up proactively on pending approvals and obtain verbal confirmations as needed. • Maintain comprehensive and organized records for all accounts payable transactions. • Build strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly. • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and identify potential issues. • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify purchase details and support efficient workflows. • Assist in refining accounts payable procedures and strengthening internal controls. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable roles. • Familiarity with Bill.com is highly preferred. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and workflows related to payables. • Proficiency in accounts payable software and Microsoft Office applications. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines consistently.
