Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will handle accounts payable functions for our manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative yet independent work environment within a family-owned company. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and accuracy. • Handle check runs and manage payment schedules. • Maintain records for accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies. • Post cash payments and update accounts receivable records as needed. • Collaborate with team members to support additional reconciliations and administrative tasks. • Utilize the AS400 system to manage accounts payable processes efficiently. • Assist with year-end inventory tasks and related reporting. • Support the accounts receivable function for manufacturing facilities when required. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial transactions. • Participate in occasional company events, such as luncheons and celebrations. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. • Proficiency in using AS400 or similar legacy systems. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to process and code invoices accurately and efficiently. • Familiarity with handling check runs and payment postings. • Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. • Comfortable working in a team-oriented and laid-back environment.
