Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic accounting team. The role involves processing incoming invoices, performing routine accounting tasks, and ensuring accurate and timely payments in accordance with company policies.

ResponsibilitiesReview all invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.Process a high volume of 3-way match invoices (4,000 invoices per month for a 6-8 person team).Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.Respond to all vendor inquiries promptly.Reconcile vendor statements and research and correct discrepancies.Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.Sort and distribute incoming mail.Assist in month-end closing and other projects as needed.Provide back-up support for other administrative functions.Enter invoices timely and accurately, processing over 50 invoices per day.Ensure proper approval of invoices in accordance with company payment approval policies.Prepare required reports timely, collaborating with both internal and external customers.Process mail, scan documents, and complete filing.Maintain department electronic and paper files.Communicate effectively with the AP team, AP lead, and AP supervisor.Essential Skills1+ years of accounts payable experience is preferred, but candidates with an accounting/finance degree and internship experience are welcome.Proficiency in Excel, including filter, sort, formatting, copy and paste, and sum/if functions. (Pivots/VLOOKUP's are a plus)High School Diploma.Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.Comfortability with working on multiple systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP is highly preferred.Experience with Coupa, Avantis, Cass, BOSS, and Transpay is advantageous.10-key proficiency.Degree in a related field is a plus.Tech-savvy and proficient in Outlook and Excel.Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days remote and 3 days in-office. The in-office days are flexible, with everyone working remotely on Fridays. The office dress code is business casual, and the team consists of 9 members. The work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Training will occur in-office for 4 days per week for the first 4-6 weeks or until readiness.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
