Accounts Payable Associate
Job Title: Accounts Payable AssociateJob Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to ensure the timely and accurate payment of invoices. This role requires strong communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. Your flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, and efficiency, paired with a high level of integrity and confidentiality, are crucial for success.

ResponsibilitiesProcess department mail distribution and scanning/routing of invoices for coding and approval.Maintain scanner equipment.Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and timely for payment.Research and resolve all past due balances or disputes.Assist with Dataloads and weekly Sales Tax Field reporting.Support month-end close processes and supplier statement reviews.Review unaccounted reporting and resolve outstanding activity.Resolve missing invoice attachments when applicable.Assist with systems testing as needed.Provide daily queue metrics to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.Escalate issues requiring second-level support to the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager.Participate in department projects and company initiatives as required.Essential SkillsProficiency in 3-way matching and Accounts Payable.Experience in invoice processing and working with purchase orders.Bachelor's or Associate's Degree with 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.High volume Accounts Payable experience.Desire to grow within the Accounts Payable department.Additional Skills & QualificationsWell-developed written and verbal communication skills.Solid attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Knowledge of Kofax, Oracle, ServiceNow, and Microsoft suite is a plus.Openness to change based on diverse input and feedback.Effective cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels.Work Environment

The Accounts Payable group consists of approximately 22-25 people, and you will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The office setup is excellent, with nearly 10,000 employees in this shared service location housing the majority of Accounting and Finance. The role follows a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office and offering flexibility on which days. The position involves processing 150+ invoices daily, including invoice entry, PO matching, and electronic workflow processing. This team serves as a feeder group for other roles in Accounting/Finance and leadership opportunities within the department.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
