Accounts Payable Administrator – Mechanical/Construction Industry
A growing mechanical and construction services company is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to manage full‑cycle AP in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑volume workloads and enjoys contributing to an organized and efficient accounting process.
ResponsibilitiesProcess approximately 1,000 invoices per month, from email capture through posting in Spectrum.Support bi‑monthly check runs and assist with month‑end AP procedures.Field incoming AP calls and provide assistance with subcontract administration tasks as needed.Maintain accurate, organized AP files and documentation.Requirements2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within construction, HVAC, mechanical, or related industries.Experience with Spectrum or similar accounting software is highly preferred.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.No degree required.Fully on‑site role; punctuality and reliability are essential.Key SkillsAccounts PayableInvoice ProcessingPurchase OrdersData EntryMonth‑End SupportVendor MaintenanceMicrosoft Office / ExcelPreferred QualificationsExperience working in high‑volume AP environments.Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.Professional communication skills for vendor and internal interactions.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
